Las Vegas, NV — RescueX is set to debut Surface Rescue, a specialized training and certification program designed to address critical gaps in water rescue and emergency response for dive professionals. The first-ever Surface Rescue Instructor Certification will take place at the Dive Equipment Manufacturers Association (DEMA) convention in Las Vegas this November, led by RescueX founder and first responder Brian Saxon.
Saxon, who is also the creator of the innovative Rapid Extrication Board™, will personally lead the instructor certification sessions. As a seasoned dive instructor and first responder, Saxon has witnessed firsthand the gap in training that can mean the difference between life and death in water emergencies.
“The Surface Rescue method fills a critical void in dive rescue training,” Saxon says. “When someone is unresponsive in the water, every second counts. This course focuses on getting them out of the water in the fastest way possible and standing ready to provide care. The Rapid Extrication Board™ makes this process efficient and safe for both the rescue team and the victim."
Instructor Certification Details: The certification consists of two parts:

At the heart of the Surface Rescue method is the Rapid Extrication Board™, a lightweight and portable board designed to expedite the process of pulling an unresponsive person out of the water. The method shows how teams can safely and efficiently use this tool in confined spaces, like on boats, to ensure victims are rapidly extricated and ready for immediate care.
